So I’m kind of cheating already…

I mean, it’s MY challenge and MY blog, so I guess I’m not cheating? But I needed a punchy title for this post, so here we are. Anyway, it’s not June 1 yet, but I’ve already started…[drumroll please]…

READING! #sorrynotsorry

It is partially the fault of Summer Miriam. Summer Miriam is ruled by Id and unless forced to do otherwise, pretty much does only exactly what she wants. I can’t stop her. And the point of this little challenge of mine is to read my backlog of books, so like, why am I complaining? It’s not only Summer Miriam’s fault though. It’s also this lovely lady’s fault:

THIS. CHAIR.

I’m not blaming the dogs. They’ve done nothing wrong here (not even Miko, who in fact, usually tries to STOP me from reading). I just didn’t want to move them to take this picture. I’m taking name suggestions for this awesome-ass chair that I got from Wayfair (not sponsored…yet?). She’s the most supremely comfy piece of furniture in existence. And she now resides in my new office/cozy reading room, which I will post pics of when I’m finished decorating and arranging it. So I naturally needed to test her out last night, and I read almost 30 pages of Isola, which is one of my 40 books, and which is also my book club pick for the end of June. It was a very comfortable, cozy, delightful reading experience, and it made me even more excited about this project. So I’ll be chasing that feeling.

I’ve also been reading a draft of a book one of my best friends wrote! I have super cool friends. Hashtag blessed.
